Dr. Chris Pritchett, Senior Pastor
Chris serves a Senior Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Chris accepted the call into ministry in May of 1989. He served two churches prior to becoming the Pastor of Pleasant Grove. He served as the Student Minister at Roopville Road Baptist Church, Roopville, GA until 1992 and then began serving as the Associate Pastor at Mt. Rachel Baptist Church, Dalton, GA until 1997. Chris accepted God’s call to Pleasant Grove as Senior Pastor in May of 1997. With his wife, Denise and two children, Russ and Leslie, they serve tirelessly to fulfill God’s calling in their lives. Chris began early on to share his faith and teaching others to share their faith. As a result, God has blessed Pleasant Grove by increasing average attendance from 40 to nearly 500.
Chris received his Doctorate in Christian Ministry while serving at Pleasant Grove. He is an avid outdoorsman with a love for deer hunting. He can be found many spring evenings on a baseball field either getting the field ready for a game or coaching and encouraging athletes. He is the founder of 12th Man Ministries that serves local high school athletic teams in order to have an opportunity to share Christ. Chris asked Jesus to come into his heart and save him in 1984 at Metro Bible Study. He always says “Since that day, I have never been the same!”
